Andersons reopens two ethanol plants but Minnesota facility will remain shut in 2020

May 19, 2020 |

In Tennessee, RFD TV reports that the Andersons has reopened two of its ethanol plants on the back of increased demand. States are beginning to ease restrictions meant to stem the spread of COVID-19 which has in turn increased demand for gasoline and ethanol, finally getting crush margins back into positive territory for the first time in three months. As a result, Andersons decided to restart an ethanol plant in both Michigan and Iowa but a third plant in Minnesota will remain mothballed until the end of the year at least.
