CMA CGM aims to use 10% alternative fuels by 2023

In France, the CEO of CMA CGM told a UN Global Compact conference that it would use 10% alternative fuels by 2023 as part of its wider commitment to be completely carbon neutral by 2050. The company has been undertaking tests this year in partnership with Shell from whom it recently bought 10,000 metric tons of marine biofuels. Last year, CMA CGM did a bunkering trial with GoodFuels in Rotterdam. In line with the International Maritime Organization, it has an intermediate target of 40% GHG reduction by 2030.
