3D printing pen 3Doodler raises over $30,000 in just a few hours on Kickstarter

| February 20, 2013

In Massachusetts, Wobbleworks has used Kickstarter to raise capital for their latest invention, the 3Doodler. They exceeded their $30,000 goal within just a few hours of its official launch on Kickstarter. The 3Doodler is a 3D printing pen, that one just plugs in, and the user can start drawing anything in 3D within minutes. The team will start work on an initial commercial run, with the first 3Doodlers delivered to backers before Fall 2013. The pen can use either ABS or PLA plastic. The PLA is sourced from corn, biodegradable, and has a lower melting temperature than ABS. The pen is currently priced from just $50 for early backers on Kickstarter.
