AeroKlean, Clean-N-Clear and CitraSoy 3 receive USDA BioPreferred Program certification

In California, NuGenTec’s BioKlean products AeroKlean, Clean-N-Clear and CitraSoy 3 have received USDA BioPreferred Program certification.

NuGen TEC has 10 other products for which it is trying to gain certification.  The BioPreferred program aims to increase the purchase and use of renewable, environmentally friendly biobased products while providing “green” jobs and new markets for farmers, manufacturers, and vendors.

Created by the 2002 Farm Bill and expanded by the 2008 Farm Bill,  which expanded the  preferred purchasing program for federal sector and reauthorized the voluntary labeling program for the broad scale consumer marketing of biobased products.  To be certified, these products must be formulated with ingredients derived from renewable resources i.e. plant derived as opposed to fossil fuel based. Fore example, AeroKlean is formulated with Orange and Lemon peel extracts as the solvent portion (for degreasing) which gives the product a pleasant citrus scent. The rest of the surfactants are derived from Corn and Soybean sources.
