Biome Bioplastics files for patent on heat-resistent bioplastics

In the United Kingdom, Biome Bioplastics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Biome Technolgoies has filed a patent application for a new range of bioplastics that are stable at high temperatures.  BiomeHT 90, the first of this new range of temperature stable bioplastics, was launched in 2010 and has been followed by 6 other products in the BiomeHT range; all highly functional and with improved temperature stability.  products in the range are made from predominantly renewable resources and are fully biodegradable, providing for lower lifecycle.
