Safeway Stores convert Arizona fleet to B20 biodiesel

The Arizona Daily Star reports that Safeway Stores will convert their 79-truck Arizona fleet to biodiesel. Safeway estimated that the conversion will reduce the company’s carbon dioxide output by 3,603 metric tons. The company has recently begun to sell biodiesel to consumers in its Washington stores, and is expected to add Arizona outlets.
