In South Carolina, the Independent Mail reports on a $5 million investment in a biodiesel plant that will open in spring 2008. Among the investors is legendary Clemson and Arkansas football coach Danny Ford. The investment will be used to convert an old Apache Products site to biodiesel production. The 25-million gallon per year Crescent Biodiesel plant in Starr, SC will create 30 jobs and features a partnership with Clemson University.
