President Bush and Australian prime minister John Howard will hold talks on September 8th and 9th in Washington on a variety of alternative energies, including nuclear power and cellulosic ethanol. The United States has committed nearly all of the renewable energy research budget of the Department of Energy to cellulosic ethanol, including a new $38 million research grant announced this week. Australian law currently caps ethanol at a maximum blend of E10.
