The Energy Information Agency reported that June ethanol production of 527 million gallons, was down 1 million barrels from May. The EIA noted that June had one less production day than May, and that average daily production for June was higher than May. Overall production capacity rose 283 million gallons to 6.77 billion gallons. According to the report, U.S. ethanol stockpiles rose 117,000 barrels to 9.067 million in June, contrary to a report from the Renewable Fuels Association suggesting that supplies were shrinking.
