Lancaster Biofuels makes pitch for $100 million ethanol plant in Pennsylvania
In Pennnsylvania, investors in Lancaster Biofuels’ proposed $100 million ethanol plant in Conoy Township made presentations to county officials as they seek final approval for the new facility. Investors include Worley & Obetz, a Manheim-based energy company; Cilion, a new California-based ethanol developer whose investors include billionaires Vinod Khosla and Richard Branson; Zymolotec, a partnership of Ron Kreider, (co-owner of Kreider Farms, one of the largest poultry and dairy operations in Lancaster County) Art Mann Sr. (chief executive officer of Donsco), and Dan Hobson and Andy Jones, of Performance Industries, a consulting company; and Herb Flosdorf, former head of the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority.
