Kumpulan Fima Bhd (KFima) said it expected its first palm biodiesel plant to start production in October. The plant has a annual capacity of 60,000 tons of biodiesel and 30,000 tons of winter fuel.
Palm oil biodiesel has come under increasing scrutiny as a viable biofuel in 2007 due to a 50% increase in palm oil prices.
