The American Meat Institute has joined a coalition of dairy, egg and turkey lobbyists to fight ethanol mandates, and has launched a website to promote its view. The site, is currently ranked 6,352,376 among websites in traffic by alexa.com.
The site collects negative articles about biofuels.
The efforts come as the Senate and House prepare for a conference committee to resolve differences in the biofuel bills passed this summer. Six members will be appointed to resolve the differences and anti-biofuels lobbyists hope to be able to kill or limit ethanol subsidies if possible, saying that this will restore viable commodity prices.
