Biofuels Digest Indexâ„¢ (BDI) leaps 2.21 percent on broad recovery by ethanol, agribusiness stocks
The Biofuels Digest Indexâ„¢ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 2.15 percent to 124.55, reflecting strong performance in all biofuels sectors.
For the day Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) paced gains in the diversified agribusiness sector, up 2.30 percent to $43.98, while US BioEnergy (USBE) rose 4.27 percent to $8.30 to lead the mid cap ethanol stocks.
Among small caps, Texcom (TEXC.PK) rose 28.21 percent to $0.10, while Nova Biosource Fuels (NBF), falling 5.58 percent to $2.20, led on the downside. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
