Tellurian Biodiesel to acquire Superior Process Technologies from Baker Commodities

Tellurian Biodiesel announced an agreement to acquire Superior Process Technologies (SPT) from Baker Commodities. Baker invested in SPT in 2003 to develop technology for the conversion of rendered materials into high-quality biodiesel. Tellurian has collaborated with Baker and SPT on the construction and upgrade of biodiesel plants since 2006. The new deal gives Tellurian the technology to turn low-grade raw materials into high-quality fuels at prices that can compete with petrodiesel.

SPT will serve as Tellurian’s engineering department, and Tellurian will continue to offer Baker access to R&D that assist its ongoing efforts in the field.

The California-based Tellurian supplies biodiesel and biodiesel education to the food service, manufacturing, entertainment and technology industries, and  managed the biodiesel conversion of the Santa Monica, San Francisco, Inglewood and Beverly Hills municipal fleets.
