PBS to premiere “Car of the Future” April 22
The PBS television program NOVA will premiere “Car of the Future,” a look at the innovative technologies that could one day transform the way we drive, Tuesday, April 22 at 8pm on most PBS stations. Tom and Ray Magliozzi, cohosts of NPR’s Car Talk, mix their trademark slapstick with serious nuts-and-bolts analysis of what it will take to make our autos more energy-efficient.
A preview clip from the show is available on YouTube.
PBS has been paying closer attention to alternative fuels and cars. KQED recently aired a feature “Biofuels: Beyond Ethanol” focused on second-generation biofuels and featuring Jay Keasling of the Joint BioEnergy Institute in California, available for viewing on the web. It’s from Quest, a science show at KQED, the PBS affiliate in San Francisco.
