Biofuels Digest Index gains 1.79 percent to close at 123.37 on ethanol rally

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 1.79 percent to close at 123.37 as ethanol made a recovery after several days of slides.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.90 percent to close at $44.56,  while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) gained 6.83 percent to $4.38 to lead the ethanol rally.

Among small caps, Nova Biosource Fuels (NBF) rose 7.62 percent to $1.13 on good production from its Illinois facility.  Overall, advances led declines 5 to 3 for the day.
