Biofuels Digest Index gains 0.40 points to 111.28 on small cap rally

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.40 percent to 111.28 on a small cap rally. For the day, The Andersons (ANDE) fell 0.54 percent to close at $42.36 as agribusiness weakened, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 2,72 percent to close at $6.80. Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) gained 16.79 percent to close at $0.5489. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
