Biofuels Digest Index falls 0.65 percent to 110.56 on ethanol, agribusiness dip

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.65 percent to 110.56 on agribusiness and ethanol declines. For the day, The Andersons (ANDE) fell 2.93 percent to close at $41.12 as agribusiness weakened, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 3.82 percent to close at $6.64. Among small caps, Intrepid Technology & Resources jumped 64.71 percent to close at $0.35 on news that the company had commenced production. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 4 for the day.
