Alabama Biodiesel settles environmental damage lawsuit

In Alabama, a federal judge approved the settlement between Alabama Biodiesel and Black Warrior Riverkeeper. In the agreement, the company agreed to pay attorney’s fees and $22,500 to the Freshwater Land Trust, obtain discharge permits and cease from illegal dumping of vegetable oil and grease into the Black Warrior River, in the western part of the state.
