Biofuels Digest Index falls 0.88 percent to 106.67 on third day of ethanol, agribusiness decline

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.88 percent to 106.67 on a third day of agribusiness and ethanol declines. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 0.81 percent to close at $38.11 as agribusiness weakened, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 3.84 percent to close at $6.01. Among small caps, Earth Biofuels (EBOF.OB) fell 12.12 percent to close at $0.029. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
