Biofuels Digest Index plunges 3.31 percent on US stock slide

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, plunged 3.31 percent to 104.02 amidst a Wall Street bloodbath brought on by bad jobs data and a $10 surge in oil prices. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 3.28 percent to close at $37.20, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 5.58 percent to close at $5.58. Among small caps, Intrepid Technologies fell 14.29 percent to close at $0.30. Overall, declines led advances 7 to 1 for the day.
