The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 2.36 percent to an all-time low of 91.45 as corn crop failure fears send investors scurrying for exits. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 2.71 percent to $32.61 to lead the agribusiness rout, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) lost 2.53 percent to close at $2.31 as ethanol stocks struggled to stabilize. Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) recovered 7.81 percent to close at $0.69. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
