Biofuels Digest Index sheds 1.71 percent to 87.92 amidst general market slump

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.71 percent yesterday to close at 87.92, amidst a general market decline.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) was down 1.65 percent to $31.50, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) managed a 3.90 percent gain to $1.60 to lead ethanol stocks. Among small caps, GreenShift (GERS.OB) fell 18.67 percent to $0.061.  Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
