Biofuels Digest Index drops to new low of 80.02 as Archer Daniels Midland continues downwards spiral

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 4.42 percent Tuesday to close at an all-time low of 80.02 as Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) continued its long day’s journey into night.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) was down 4.80 percent to $28.37, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) recovered 3.18 percent to $4.54. Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) gained 17.78 percent to close at $0.53.  Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
