Biofuels Digest Index plunges 2.56 percent to all-time low of 78.91 as investors flee ADM in advance of earnings

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 2.56 percent yesterday to an all-time low of 78.91 as agribusiness fell sharply and ethanol waned.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM)  fell 2.70 percent to $27.40, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 1.41percent to $6.30. Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) declined 2.38 percent to $0.41.  Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
