Resurgent Pacific Ethanol increases credit line, ready to launch 50 Mgy corn ethanol plant in California
In California, Pacific Ethanol reports that it will commence production at its 50 Mgy corn ethanol plant in Stockton, remains committed to a demonstration scale cellulosic ethanol plant in Boardman, Oregon, and has secured an expended $40 million credit facility through Wachovia. The completion of the Stockton plant will complete the company’s plant to reach 220 Mgy in nameplate capacity this year, although management said that they will continue to look at expansion opportunities. The company said that it would continue to focus on corn as a feedstock, but could use molasses, wine, and fruit juice if prices make other feedstocks economically viable.
