Biofuels Digest Index plummets 4.70 percent to 75.36 despite EPA denial of RPS waiver

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 4.70 percent yesterday to 75.36 as Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) plunged off another cliff despite the denial of the RPS waiver by the EPA.  For the day, ADM fell 4.86 percent to close at $26.03,  while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 5.56 percent to $6.46. Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) rose 11.63 percent to $0.48. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
