Britain misses biofuel usage targets by 14 percent, sustainability targets by 36 percent

In England, the Renewable Fuels Agency issues its first monthly report on biofuels and sustainability targets, and found that biofuels accounted for 2.14 percent of fuels, well short of the 2.5 percent target under the under the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation for the month ending May 14. The agency also said that 19 percent of biofuels met environmental standards, compared to a target of 30 percent.
