Largest wheat ethanol plant in North America opens in Canada

Flag CanadaIn Canada, the 55 Mgy Terra Grains wheat ethanol plant opened in Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan. The plant, which is the largest wheat ethanol project in North America, will also produce 160,000 metric tons of dried distillers grains per year. The ethanol is intended for the domestic Canadian market, while the grains are slated for export to Europe and Asia.
