Biofuels Digest Index gains 0.83 percent to 73.76 on agribusiness, ethanol improvement

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.83 percent Wednesday to close at 73.76 as agribusiness improved and ethanol generally firmed.   For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 2.84 percent to close at $26.06, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) jumped 3.57 percent to $6.39. Among small caps, Raven Biofuels (RVBF.OB) declined 8.51 percent to $0.43.  Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
