UK biodiesel enthusiasts complete 10-day Grease-to-Greece rally; rally leader saves more on diesel than the car cost

In Greece, a group of British biodiesel enthusiasts completed the 2,000 mile Grease-to-Greece drive across Europe after ten days. Drivers used waste vegetable oil donated by restaurants along the way, or WVO-based biodiesel manufactured during the rally by an accompanying mobile biodiesel unit. Rally leader Andy Pag told ekathimerini.com that his fuel savings along the route by using donated cooking oil were more than he had paid for his second-hand Peugeot and for the WVO conversion.
