In Iowa, Bratney announced that it is distributing a technology to make glycerine produced from biodiesel “guaranteed to be odorless.” Biodiesel-derived glycerine has generally been discounted due to odor. The technology was developed by Cimbria Sket, a Danish firm that manufactures processing plants. Bratneyh said that the new technology would enable biodiesel-producers to distribute a high-grade, high-value glycerine by-product without high cost.
