Biofuels Digest Index leaps 5.61 percent to 66.86 as broad market rallies

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 5.61 percent Friday to close at 66.85 as the broader markets advanced on announcement of a US government-led reorganization of the mortgage debt market.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 9.94 percent to $23.68, while Aventine Renewables (AVR) lifted 2.35 percent to $4.36. Among small caps, Gushan (GU) gained 24 percent to $7.44. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
