Western Wisconsin Energy improves ethanol yields by 18 percent, increases proposed capacity to 59 Mgy
In Wisconsin, Western Wisconsin Energy has increased its proposed capacity from 50 Mgy to 59 Mgy after implementing new technology that would allow it to increase ethanol yields from corn by 18 percent. The company has filed applications for revised permits, including additional water usage by the plant. However, the plant would not consume more corn or require more truck deliveries.
