Boeing, UOP, Air France, Virgin, KLM, WWF, NRDC, others form Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group

In Washington State, Boeing, UOP Honeywell, the World Wildlife Fund and Natural Resources Defense Council are among the organizations that have formed the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group. The Group’s members sign off on a sustainability statement, that commits the members to only use biofuels that do not compete with food or fresh water sources, require minimal land, have a smaller carbon footprint than kerosene-based fuels, and add value to the communities that produce feedstocks. Airlines representing 15 percent of global air traffic, including Air France, Air New Zealand, ANA, Japan Air Lines, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic are members.  The sustainability principles are here.
