Biofuels Digest Index falls 1.45 percent to 64.77 on large cap sag

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, lost 1.45 percent Friday on large cap weakness  while investors await the outcome of Wall Street bailout talks.  For the day, British Petroleum (BP) lost 1.43 percent to close at $54.55, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) soared 31.74 percent to close at $2.20. Among small caps, Environmental Power Group (EPG) gained 0.86 percent to close at $2.35. Overall, declines and advances were even for the day.
