In England, the BBC is reporting that the UK government is lobbying to have the aviation industry excluded from the EUs 20 percent renewables target for 2020. The proposal would reduce the overall target to an equivalent of 18.5 percent of total European energy use. A number of European states are rumored to be in support of the English proposal.
