In Iowa, Nova Biosource Fuels shut down its 10 Mgy Clinton biodiesel facility due to fire. No major injuries were reported, although one firefighter was burned by steam. The company also announced that it has successfully extended its construction loan, which was scheduled to convert to a conventional term loan this week but now will convert at the end of the year. Conversion is contingent on completion of the final performance tests for the plant, which commenced operations this year.
