Forbes published a review of energy policy which begins with: “From big oil companies to solar panel entrepreneurs to chemists creating the biomass fuels of the future, there’s one thing that everyone in the energy industry has in common: They hate Washington’s energy policy.”
The review analyzes the stop-and-start nature of US national energy policy, including the failure of cap-and-trade legislation this year, the varying technologies favored under the 2005 and 2007 Energy bills, the rush to commence offshore drilling, and the constant wrangling over the alternative energy investment tax credit.
