Biofuels Digest Index drops 0.18 percent to 54.95 as ethanol wanes

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.18 percent to close at 54.95 as ethanol slid.  For the day, Cosan (CZZ) fell 5.79 percent to $7.00, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 12.13 percent to $2.10. Among small caps, Gushan (GU) finished down 7.86 percent to $3.87 percent. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 2 for the day.
