Biofuels Digest Index drops 4.07 percent to new low of 50.45 as global markets continue to fall

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 4.07 percent to close at 50.45 as ethanol weakened and broader markets fell 5 percent globally. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 7.24 percent to $17.04, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) recovered 3,78 percent to $1.92. Among small caps, Raven Biofuels (RVBF.OB) fell 6.82 percent to $0.41. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
