In California, Pacific Ethanol officially commenced operations at its 60 Mgy corn ethanol plant in Stockton. Congressman Jerry McNerney and California Agriculture Secretary A.G. Kawamura were among the guests at the opening of the Golden State’s largest ethanol plant. The company said that the Stockton opening “marks the achievement of our goal of 220 million gallons of annual production capacity”.
The plant will produce 500,000 tons of wet distillers grains for local livestock, and will process 21 million bushels of corn per year.
