Biofuels Digest Index soars 15.21 percent to 53.26 as world markets recover

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, rose in euphoria by 15.21 percent to 53.26 as markets reacted to G7 moves on the world financial crisis. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) soared 15.45 percent to $18.10, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) leaped 19.34 percent to $2.53. Overall, advances led declines 17 to 1 for the day.
