In California, Carbon Sciences has developed a low-energy catalytic technology to convert CO2 directly into gasoline and other synthetic fuels. The company technology converts CO2 into methane, ethane and propane, hydrocarbons that can be subsequently converted into gasoline and jet fuel. The company has set a goal of establishing a pilot project in 2009.
