Green Energy Resources signs with FEMA to harvest 1 million tons of storm damaged wood for biofuels

In Texas, Green Energy Resources has signed with FEMA to harvest up to 1 million tons of wood damaged in Hurricane Ike. The contract is under the Public Assistance Pilot program and harvested wood will be offered to biofuels markets for products including cellulosic ethanol and wood pellets. The wood is being obtained at no cost and will be offered to buyers under a biomass supplier incentive program.
