In Texas, Kinder Morgan announced that it has commenced testing the transportation of B5 biodiesel through its pipeline system. The company is testing B5 in a segment of its Plantation Pipe Line that connects Collins, MS with Spartanburg, SC. Kinder Morgan said that it expects to have test results available by the end of the month, and is also evaluating transporting biodiesel between Portland and Eugene, OR in its pipeline system.
The company recently concluded a successful test to move ethanol by pipeline in Central Florida, and has made or authorize $87 million in infrastructure investment to support ethanol pipeline transport in the Southeast and Pacific Northwest.
