Biofuels Digest Index drops 4.83 percent to 54.17 on ethanol fall

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 4.83 percent to 54.17 as ethanol stocks sagged more than other sectors advanced.  Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 6.28 percent to $19.47, while VeraSun Energy (VSE)  fell 11.11 percent to $1.76 to lead an ethanol retreat. Among small caps, Syntec Biofuel (SYBF.OB) rose 96.67 percent to $0.59. Overall, advances led declines by 5 to 2 for the day.
