In Pennsylvania, the Curwensville Borough Council voted to permit Sunnyside Ethanol to apply for a building permit prior to the completion of a traffic impact study. The construction price for the 80 Mgy corn ethanol is projected at $310-$400 million. Earlier in October, the council had voted to delay acceptance of a building permit application until after the study was completed. The borough voted to allow any grant money allocated to the project to be applied towards compliance with any requirements from PennDOT’s traffic report.
