Biofuels Digest Index falls 1.57 percent to 54.48 on VeraSun bankruptcy filing

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.57 percent Friday to close at 54.48 as VeraSun Energy (VSE) prepared its bankruptcy petition.  Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 8.03 percent to $20.73, while VeraSun fell 15.79 percent to $0.48. Among small caps, MGP Ingredients (MGPI) fell 9.52 percent to close at $1.52. Overall, advances and declines were even for the day.
