Frederickson & Byron published a projection of elements in the expected New Energy for America Plan that will be announced by the incoming Obama Administration. F&B highlighted previous announced policy initiatives from the Obama campaign, including: a Next Generation of Sustainable Biofuels and Infrastructure, focused on advanced biofuels development; a 60 billion gallon Renewable Fuels Standard by 2030; a National Low Carbon Fuel Standard requiring fuel suppliers to reduce carbon in their fuels by 5 percent between 2010 and 2015; New Flexible Fuel Vehicles Mandate – requiring that all new US cars be flex-fuel enabled by 2013.
